This morning, over breakfast, I created an ‘infinite’ loop between a tumblr and a twitter account using their import features. Every 2 hours or so (if Tumblr’s import queue was quicker it would be less time.) the Tumblr account posts to Twitter, and then vice versa, creating a sort of ‘infinite’ loop. The only problem is that Twitter deletes duplicate tweets, so I had to modify the post text with every new tweet. No problem, although this could mean that it will stop when the character count reaches 140.
The flow of info is as follows:
- Start with a post to Tumblr
- Twitter imports the post + a salt of sorts
- Tumblr imports that Twitter feed, repeating steps 1 & 2
Pretty sweet/useless.
